Privacy Policy

At QuickCommerceJobs, operated by Apexlayer Technologies Private Limited, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We comply with applicable Indian data protection laws.

Information you provide

• Account information: name, phone number, email address, city, profile photo
• Profile information: education, experience, skills, languages, preferences
• Application data: job applications, messages to recruiters, shift preferences
• Resume/CV: if uploaded or auto-generated from your profile
• Contact form submissions: name, email, message content

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, jobs viewed, searches performed, time spent
• Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7)

Information from third parties

• Google Sign-In: if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, profile photo, and Google ID

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Platform
• Match you with relevant job listings
• Allow recruiters to view applications you submit to their listings
• Send you notifications about applications, new jobs matching your preferences, and platform updates (you can opt out)
• Verify your identity via phone OTP
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations
• Aggregate anonymized data for research and platform improvements

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.

We share your information only in these limited cases:

With employers and recruiters

There are two ways an employer sees your details, and you control the second one.

When you apply to a job. The recruiter for that listing can view your application details: name, phone, city, experience and profile information. This happens because you chose to apply.

When an employer searches for staff. Employers we have verified can search profiles of people looking for work in their city and contact them directly, even if you have not applied to them. This is the main way people get hired here, and it is why creating a profile is worth doing. Employers in that search see your profile information, and your phone number, WhatsApp and CV once they open your profile. Before they open it, your name is shortened and your number is partly hidden.

You can switch the second one off. Go to your profile and turn off “Employers can find you”. You disappear from employer searches straight away, and from the saved lists of employers who found you earlier. You can still apply to jobs yourself, and you can switch it back on whenever you want.

One honest limit: switching it off stops employers finding you from that moment. An employer who already opened your profile before that may still have your number saved outside our platform, and we cannot take it back from them. If someone contacts you after you have switched it off, or you are unhappy with how an employer behaved, write to trust@quickcommercejobs.com and we will act on it.

An employer can only see people in the city they hire in, plus people nearby who have said they are ready to move for work. We never sell your details to anyone, and you are never charged for anything, at any stage.

With service providers

We use trusted third-party services for infrastructure (database hosting, email delivery, SMS/OTP services, analytics). These providers process data on our behalf under strict agreements and cannot use it for their own purposes.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of users.

Business transfers

If QuickCommerceJobs is acquired or merged, user data may be transferred to the successor entity. You'll be notified in advance.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Profile data is deleted within 30 days
• Application history is anonymized within 90 days
• Aggregated analytics data is retained indefinitely (but contains no personally identifiable information)
• Legal compliance records may be retained longer as required by law

You can request deletion anytime by emailing support@quickcommercejobs.com or using the account deletion option in settings.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data — request a copy of everything we have about you
• Correct inaccurate information — update your profile anytime
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent for specific data uses (for example marketing emails). To stop employers finding you in search, you do not need to email anyone: turn off “Employers can find you” in your profile and it takes effect immediately
• Object to specific processing activities
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Essential functionality (login sessions, security)
• Analytics (understanding how the Platform is used)
• Performance (caching, speed optimization)
• Preferences (remembering your city, language, filters)

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some essential cookies are required for the Platform to function.

We protect your data with:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Password hashing and secure authentication tokens
• Rate limiting and abuse detection
• Regular security updates
• Access controls for internal systems

However, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery, as required by applicable law.

QuickCommerceJobs is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

QuickCommerceJobs is designed for users in India. If you access the Platform from outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.

Our Platform integrates with:

• Google (for Sign-In) — Google's privacy policy applies to data they collect
• Ola Maps / Mappls / OpenStreetMap — for reverse geocoding (we send coordinates, not personal data)
• Email delivery providers — for transactional emails (name and email shared)
• SMS/OTP providers — for phone verification (phone number shared)
• Analytics services — for aggregated usage data (no personal data)

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email and a prominent notice on the Platform. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

For privacy-related questions, complaints, or to exercise your rights, write to our Grievance Officer. We reply within 48 hours and aim to resolve complaints within 30 days.
